The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Collin County in north central Texas
Dallas County in north central Texas
Tarrant County in north central Texas

* until 1100 am CST

* at 754 am CST... National Weather Service meteorologists detected
thunderstorms with heavy rain across much of the Dallas/Fort Worth
metroplex. Widespread reports of 3 to 4 inches of rain overnight
has resulted in flash flooding... primarily in urban areas.
Another 1 to 2 inches will be possible through 11 am... only
worsening ongoing flooding issues.

* Locations that will continue to be affected by heavy rain
include... Highland Park... University Park... Farmers Branch...
Seagoville... Wylie... Sunnyvale... Sachse... Rowlett... Richardson...
Prosper... Princeton... Plano... Parker... Murphy... Mesquite...
McKinney... Lucas... Lowry Crossing... Garland... Frisco...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the Road to
unknown depths. It only takes two feet of rushing water to carry away
most sport utility vehicles and pickups. Take a different Route to
reach your destination or wait until the water recedes. Remember...

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Warning for Walnut Creek near Mansfield.
* Until late tonight... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0700 am Wednesday the stage was 20.45 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast
* forecast... the river should rise above flood stage by Wednesday
morning and continue to rise to a crest near 24 feet by late
Wednesday morning. The river should fall below flood stage by
Wednesday afternoon.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.6 feet on Mar 20 2006.

Ambulance at Walmart - Wonder What Happened??

As I was pulling into the Walmart parking lot, this evening, I noticed flashing lights on the far side of the parking lot.  It took me awhile to get across the parking lot as I was driving across the front of the store (all that pedestrian traffic).  The flashing lights that I saw were actually in the parking lot and not in front of the store.  As I got towards where the lights were coming from, a firetruck was pulling out (sans lights - as if leaving scene).  There was however an ambulance still there w/ it's lights still flashing and I saw an EMT in the back moving around.  I can only assume they were providing care for someone, but was unable to determine for sure as the only way to do so would be do walk up & peer in the back of the ambulance (which would look suspicious).

It was my understanding that OWS did not support criminal activity. Now I hear that OccupyLA has taken over an "abandoned " hotel.
This is criminal:
1. They are trespassing.
2. The property was "locked up" (Breaking and entering)

SEVERAL WEBSITES GO DARK

This morning (at midnight) several websites went dark. This is their way of protesting internet censorship.
On Twitter™ many users have vowed to not send tweets for 24 hours as a way to protest.

There seem to be strong feelings on both sides of this issue. Some of the contributions to Wikipedia™ are condemning the sites shutdown to protest. Others are having fin with it by tweeting outrageous, fake, facts with the hashtag #lookitup.
